The Journey

The best 1 day adventure in Northern Thailand

Looking for Thailand’s best travel 1 day travel experience?

Fancy the perfect combination of adventure and sightseeing?

Fear not, you can now experience The Tuk Tuk Club on our brand new one-day Northern Thailand adventure.

Almost certainly the most fun you can have in a single day adventure around Chiang Mai, unleashing your inner Tuk Tuk driver as well as spending time at an awesome elephant home and then rafting yourself gently down a stunning river.

Is there a better way to spend a day in Chiang Mai? We doubt it…..

1 Day Adventure

Drive your very own Tuk Tuk through stunning countryside and tiny rural communities

Spend time with elephants as you feed, walk and bathe them at a fantastic elephant home

Ride a bamboo raft along the river for a very different perspective of the countryside

Itinerary Overview

  • 07:45
Join us at our meeting point for your transfer to the Tuk Tuk base camp (or we can pick you up from your hotel between 08:00 and 08:30 – just let us know where you’re staying when you book and we can sort things out!)
  • 09:30
Arrive at Tuk Tuk base camp, introduction to the day and start your driver training.
  • 10:30
We’ll set off in convoy through tiny rural roads, past fascinating temples on our way to meet the elephants. And don’t forget, you’re actually driving your own Tuk Tuk!
  • 11:30
Arrive at the elephant home, learn about the past, present and future plan and join the mahouts feeding them before having a simple but hearty Thai lunch yourself.
  • 1:00
Walk with the elephants through the countryside down to the local river and help the mahouts clean and bathe the elephants.
  • 3:00
Jump on your bamboo raft and float gently along the valley floor enjoying the different view and cool (hopefully!) breeze.
  • 4:00
Back into your Tuk Tuk and drive back to base camp
  • 4:45
Transfer back by minivan to Chiang Mai city and either your hotel or our meeting point. We will arrive back in Chiang Mai city around 6:00
